And so it starts

So here it is, my blog. Been meaning to start it for a long time. My aim was to do it before January. What happens in January then? Well, I am going to the US for half a year. I thought this would be a good way of letting my friends and family know how I am doing. Don't expect me to write in this very often before that. I am quite a busy person at the moment. Got my teacher training going on, and that takes a lot of my time, and I mean A LOT.

So what is going on in my life at the moment? Well... My university studies are going well, but even so, don't think I will graduate any time soon. My life with J and our little doggie is going great. I'm just gonna miss them a lot after January. And that's about it for my life now. It really is kind of boring, but I like it. At least I get to spend a lot of time with J and the doggie.

As you must have noticed by now I am writing in English. And so I will continue. This is because of a couple of reasons: 1) once I go to the US my life there will go on in English, and so explaining my life would be easier in English, 2) some people reading this may not know Finnish and thus they would be unable to read it if it was written in Finnish, but then again I expect all the people that know Finnish to know English at least enough to understand this, and finally 3) I like writing English more than Finnish.

I now have really started to feel like I am really going to the US. It was quite an uncertain thing for a long time. But then I got my visa. After that I decided to go to the travel agency and get my tickets. Now I have them as well. I leave January 1st. Yes I know, what a drag, I'm sort of gonna miss New Year's. But what can you do. There were no other flights available. I have started to save money, as well as get a student loan. Now all I really have to do is get an insurance (which I can't do until a month before I leave) and make sure that everything here is in order. And also, I have to go to the dentist's here in Finland because I don't know if they are any good in the US.
